Imprisoned serial sex offender gets 9-25 more years
CLEVELAND — Roy Owens, a serial sex offender now serving time for aggravated burglary, will spend nine to 25 additional years in prison for a 1993 rape investigated and prosecuted by the DNA Cold Case Task Force, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty announced Monday.
Four charged in Jim Brennan’s slaying plead not guilty; prosecutors await death penalty review
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Two pairs of brothers charged in the slaying of Cleveland Heights restaurant owner Jim Brennan pleaded not guilty Thursday, but they will have to wait to learn the punishments they face if convicted.
Prosecutors are expected to consider next month whether they will seek the death penalty against three of the four who are charged with aggravated murder in the slaying of Brennan.
